Brisbane Lions Academy member Keidean Coleman came second in the goalkicking test on day 1 of the AFL Draft Combine in Melbourne last night.

The 18-year-old was one of four players to kick four out of five goals, with only one player – Next Generation Academy prospect Isaac Quaynor – kicking the perfect score.

This season was a breakout year for Coleman, who featured for the Lions in the NAB AFL Academy Series as well as his inclusion in the Allies throughout the NAB AFL Under 18 National Championships.

Originally from Katherine in the Northern Territory, Coleman was also given an opportunity to learn from his potential teammates through eight games with Brisbane in the NEAFL including the Lions’ only finals appearance against Aspley.

Coleman is one of six players with NEAFL experience in attendance during the Combine – Nick Blakey (Sydney Swans Academy), Kieran Briggs (GWS Academy), Dirk Koenen (Gold Coast Suns Academy), Connor McFadyen (Brisbane Lions Academy), and Bailey Scott (Gold Coast Suns Academy).

The sprint, running and standing vertical jumps, agility and YoYo tests take place on Thursday.
