Bombers nab former Vulture
Josh Vearing is the latest addition to the Redland Bombers.
Redland hasbeen incredibly busy in the lead-up to the 2013 NEAFL season, picking up another big-name recruit in former Mt Gravatt captain Josh Vearing.
Vearing played 190 games for the Vultures since 2000, leading the side for the last three years.
The 2007 Syd Guildford Trophy winner was a dual premiership player with Mt Gravatt and a three-time Queensland representative.
Bombers development manager, Phil Carse said, the veteran would be an invaluable addition to their young side.
“Josh is a fantastic edition with his level of experience and he has worked hard to maintain his fitness base over the summer despite not being in formal training,” Carse said.
“Josh will add a lot of leadership to the group and being a premiership player knows what it takes to achieve success at our level.”
The recruitment of Vearing comes on the back of the club signing former St Kilda player, Steve Gaertner, last month.
Redland will unveil all of their new players at the Redland Family day on March 15.
