Sydney University will hit the field for its first practice match this weekend when they host the Sydney Swans at Blacktown.

The Students’ star-studded list will be on show from 1pm against last year’s Grand Finalists, who recorded a come-from-behind victory against defending premier the Giants last week.

Meanwhile, Gold Coast and Aspley will kick off week three of the NEAFL pre-season clashes from 10am on Saturday at Metricon Stadium. The Suns are set to field 17 AFL-listed players against the Hornets, who are coming off a 21-point loss to Redland.

The Bombers will also head to the Gold Coast to tackle Southport at Fankhauser Reserve from 3pm. Both sides have one practice match win each.

Canberra Demons will split their squad in half and play two matches against AFL Canberra clubs Queanbeyan and Belconnen, with the first kicking off at 2.30pm.
