Cody Filewood is a smart, mid-sized forward and midfielder
originally from Mackay on the central Queensland coast. Filewood made his NEAFL
debut for Gold Coast in 2014 before joining QAFL club Surfers Paradise a year
later. He was nominated for the NEAFL Rising Star Award in 2017 before an ACL
injury cruelly cut his season short. Filewood made a remarkable comeback in
2018, playing in the NEAFL Grand Final in just his fourth game back from
injury.
