PLAYER BIO

Riley Buckland is a small midfielder/forward who is strong overhead and courageous for his size. Originally from Byron Bay before relocating to the Gold Coast, Buckland has great blend of speed and endurance which allows him to have flexibility in his playing positions. In 2019, he played consistent NEAFL football and performed well for the Academy in the NAB league. Unfortunately, his season was cut short due to a wrist injury which required surgery. Look for Buckland to play a similar role to last season and the possibility of more midfield time due to some added size over the pre-season.
