Darwin product Brandon Rusca is an honest, reliable and self-motivated youngster who is a pleasure to have around in the SUNS Academy space. He played 10 NEAFL games for NT Thunder last year, plus 5 games in the NT Thunder Academy and will represent the NT again in 2020 as an overage player. Brandon, who is the nephew of 2011 NT Thunder premiership defender Shannon Rusca, completed Year 12 last year and is now doing a carpentry apprenticeship within his family owned business. Rusca is very quick on foot and has good skills both sides of his body. With his pace he loves to run and take the game on, he reads the play well and is a disciplined team player.
